The woman, who has not been named, marches up to the employee and showers her in the liquid at Pollack Jewelers in Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise, Florida.

Two others then smash their way into the cabinets before looting the precious products that may have included Rolexes and Cartiers.

The two workers in the store at the time have since quit because they are too terrified to return.

Police said they are investigating as they offered $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.

The footage starts as a female customer - dressed in all black and wearing a face covering - walks up to the counter.

She reaches into her pocket and pulls out the pepper spray before leaning over the counter and firing it into the worker's face.

The staff member tries to run away but the brazen thug chases her and continues to launch the liquid at her.

Another customer, holding a dog on a lead, also flees in terror as the employee disappears out of view.

Two more robbers sprint into the store and start smashing their way into the jewelry cases with hammers.

They open a black bag and begin scooping the watches into it before quickly escaping the shop during the attack at 9pm on April 27.

The store is based near the exit to the mall meaning they had a quick and clean getaway.
